The four fundamental adversities that are impacting all of us.
They will also be the foundations of the near future — which I believe will fundamentally differ from today.

Augmented forces
Whether it is coming from the biology chapter of the science book or physics, we are facing an extraordinary time in the history of humankind. We are about to boil over 50 degrees celsius on Earth, powered by various viruses and bacteria. Even manufactured rocket parts are crashing into the surface of the moon. I observe a considerable imbalance in the capacity of science and its benefits to us. We met with the pandemic and tried to overcome it.
We have a severe sustainability problem. Don’t we?
The great inflation
Did you see the prices of agricultural commodities today? Just check the wheat prices trading at the Chicago mercantile exchange. Here it is.
In the UK, the April inflation forecast is 8%, opening doors to a cost of living crisis. It is already there in the US. All the financial systems and the capital markets’ performance engines need an adjustment during the Great Inflation era. I do not believe this inflation is a cause of immediate hardships. It is more of a structural economic problem that should be analysed carefully. Well, it is a matter of lifestyle push in my daily life. The middle class feels like getting poorer. It is pumping up anxiety in the name of the unknown future.
Digital disruption
Okay, let us put the fantasy of the metaverse away and look at the forest rather than the trees. The mass must have the mindset and skills to transform into the digital world. Even if they may, it is not correlated to the speed of transformation. The adaptation will take a longer time. This lagging is the root cause of the disruption.
Obviously, we are heading to the new riches that will occupy the old money. But, the transformation will drag most of the workforce into a new type of slavery.
The war
Last but not least is the war in Europe. I am still determining what will happen next. Any conflict can be prevented unless people want it to. But we did not do it this time. And a new war has been born. Now, it will change not only the borders but also the perception of the future. We still choose to fight outright. Nothing changed in the so-called “civilised world.” Why would you bother to act on knowledge if the coercive power is still intact? Isn’t it better to be a member of the fight club? This is no history. War is our reality. Still!
And I am desperately praying this war ends!
The Big Four are my immediate wake-up call. They do not have a snooze button! They are all affecting my daily life and family. My business is disrupted (actually, an opportunity at work) and changing. The fear factor is intense. I am experiencing a new form of life.
Now, you tell me: “Where is the fun?”
It may be somewhere hidden in the past!
